This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Sunfruit Limited (company number 15032642), trading as Instacapital ("we", "us", "our"), collects through this website (instacapital.co.uk), how we use it, our lawful bases for processing it, who we share it with, how we protect it, and how you can access and control it.
Sunfruit Limited is the data controller. If you have questions or wish to exercise your rights, contact us at info@instacapital.co.uk, by phone on 07500 771244, or by post at 18a Gawsworth Avenue, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 5NF.
Our promise
- We will not sell your personal information.
- We will keep your information secure.
- We will make it easy for you to access and control your information.
- We will comply with the relevant data protection law.
Our status with the ICO
Sunfruit Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration reference [ICO registration number — to be added]. Sunfruit must hold its own ICO data-controller registration before the site collects personal data from the public; the number is then stated here.
What we are — and what that means for your data
Instacapital is an introducer. We are not a lender, a finance broker, or an FCA-authorised adviser, and we do not take you through a finance application. We collect limited information when you make an enquiry and introduce you to a nominated FCA directly authorised agent, who then deals with you under their own privacy policy and becomes the controller of the information you share with them. We recommend you read that agent's privacy policy before proceeding with them.
What personal information we collect
- Contact information — your name, email address and telephone number.
- Enquiry information — the type of finance you are interested in, an indicative loan amount, the property or postcode you ask us to check, and any message you send us.
- Consent records — the date and time you gave consent and the version of the terms you accepted.
- Technical data — a one-way, irreversible (hashed) form of your IP address, used to help prevent abuse of our forms; and cookie-related data (see "Cookies" below).
We do not collect identity documents, national insurance numbers, bank statements, income and expenditure details, or run credit checks — those are handled by the FCA-authorised agent if you proceed with one. We do not collect special category data (such as racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or health information).
How we use your information, and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and introducing you to an FCA-authorised agent | Steps taken at your request prior to a contract / our legitimate interest in responding to you |
| Sending you marketing about relevant products and insights | Your consent (a separate, optional opt-in) |
| Preventing fraud and abuse of our forms | Our legitimate interest in protecting the service |
| Analytics and advertising measurement | Your consent (via the cookie banner) |
Who we share your information with
- Nominated FCA directly authorised agents — when you make an enquiry and consent to it, we share the contact and enquiry details you provided so they can assess your enquiry and contact you. They are separate data controllers and process your data under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (for example website hosting and email delivery), only to the extent needed to provide their service and under contract.
We will not sell your personal information.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and contact information for [retention period — e.g. 24 months from last contact, to be confirmed], after which it is deleted, unless we are required to keep it longer by law. We keep consent records for as long as we rely on that consent plus a reasonable period afterwards to evidence compliance.
How we protect your information
We use appropriate physical, electronic and organisational measures to keep your information secure, and restrict access to those who need it. Where a service provider processes data on our behalf, they are bound by contract to protect it. If any information is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, and to have it corrected, completed, erased ("the right to be forgotten"), or to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at info@instacapital.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and will respond within one month.
How to stop marketing
When we first collect your information you can choose not to opt in to marketing. If you do opt in, every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@instacapital.co.uk with "STOP" in the subject line.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are set only with your consent via our cookie banner, which you can change at any time. For general information about controlling cookies, see aboutcookies.org.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal information, please contact us first at info@instacapital.co.uk or 07500 771244. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We keep this policy under review. Any changes will be posted on this website, and the "last reviewed" date above will be updated.
